Here is what I remember so far... I grew up in Manhattan, primarily in the west village, and spent most of my time in a jewelry store my mother Sara Charnis owned. I became quite adept at selling jewelry, and running many aspects of the store. I built several electronics projects - age 11 - 13. Repaired stereos, tape decks and "Walkmans" (remember those) at home for friends - age 14 - 16.
Worked with lasers and electro-optics for 4 years, Repaired consumer electronic equipment for two years at Analogique in NYC. 1981 - 1983. Repaired and modified professional audio equipment for Kolbe Sound in NYC. 1984. Built speaker systems and sound reinforcement equipment and houses (read hard work) for 4 years in the Southern Vermont area. 1985 - 1989. Attended Community College of Vermont for Basic and C Programming, computer graphics and animation. 1990 - 1992. Founded Dosolutions - 1992 to present. With over 28 years electronics experience; I founded Dosolutions in 1992 to design and build the fastest personal computers in Southern Vermont. Today I continue that goal, selling personal computers, laptops and servers, designing cool web sites and installing networks for businesses and schools through-out Southern Vermont and New England. Built the original servers for SoVerNet in 1994. Relocated Dosolutions to main st in Putney, Vermont in 1995. Helped form the Putney Energy Committee 2006 I volunteered for the position of Town Energy Coordinator - to help assist in upgrades to municipal buildings, and with modifications to town plan that will help implement renewable energy projects. -Daniel |
